Gibson LeClair, LLC was founded in May, 2003 in Augusta, Maine. We currently serve clients throughout the State of Maine and New Hampshire providing nonprofit audit, traditional compilation and review services and tax and advisory services. Gibson LeClair, LLC is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the AICPA Governmental Audit Quality Center and the Maine Society of Certified Public Accountants. The firm participates in the AICPA’s peer review process in order to maintain the highest of professional standards and to ensure our quality control systems over our audit and accounting practices produce quality work. At Gibson LeClair, LLC we firmly believe that our single most important asset is our staff. We are committed to providing them with the best opportunities for advancement and growth, both professionally and personally. Gibson LeClair, LLC provides a comprehensive continuing professional education program consistent with the AICPA membership requirements, the Maine State Board of Accountancy regulations and the additional requirements of the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) for auditors of federal award programs. All professional staff receives at least 40 hours of continuing professional education each year, by attending in-house seminars, attending other seminars throughout Maine and the country, and completing self-study courses. In the past, our staff has attended national conferences sponsored by the AICPA on topics such as single audits, auditing and compliance for nonprofit organizations and the national tax conference.
