Supervisor
Melissa Perkins joined the firm at its inception in 2003. As Supervisor, she is responsible for planning, implementing and coordinating audits, performing reviews and compilations and preparing tax returns for small business, individual and nonprofit clients.
Melissa earned her bachelor's degree from Thomas College. Melissa's prior employment history includes working for another local public accounting firm in Central Maine. Melissa is involved with numerous nonprofit audit engagement teams where she actively participates in fieldwork for financial and compliance audits. Melissa has been auditing nonprofits exclusively for ten years. Her tax experience includes tax preparation and write-up services for nonprofit, corporate and individual tax clients.
Melissa has received training as a Quickbooks Pro advisor and has offered assistance to many clients using Quickbooks software and other commonly used accounting software.
In Melissa's spare time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, playing golf and most importantly, spending time with her husband and three children.
